Service Enhancements/Add-Ons

  • Lavendar (or unscented) Exfoliating Back Scrub (15 min).  End your massage with an exfoliating sugar scrub for your back.  Hot towel compresses deliver moist heat to help relax the back muscles, followed by exfoliation with a lavendar sugar scrub and more hot towels.  Deeply hydrating lavendar cream is then massaged into the skin.  This treatment will leave you feeling pampered and refreshed.
  • Lavendar (or unscented) Exfoliating Foot Scrub (15 min).  End your massage with an exfoliating sugar foot scrub, followed with a moisturizing lavendar cream.  Hot towel compresses and massage relax tired, achy feet leaving you feeling revitalized and refreshed.
  • Hot Stone Enhancement.  Enhance your massage with soothing hot stones for back and shoulders.
  • Aromatherapy.  Select one of eight essential oil blends to customize and enhance your massage experience.  Hot towels compresses are included for the back.
  • Enhanced Muscle Therapy.  This treatment works well on the back, lower legs, and forearms.  The area is massaged with a warming product (Prossage).  The treatment ends with an application of cooling Sombra to calm inflammation and reduce soreness.  Great for areas recovering from sprains, strains, and general overwork and overuse.  Hot towel compresses are applied to the area before and after the massage.
  • Percussion Therapy (10-min).  Give your tight/sore muscles a little extra help unwinding by adding percussion therapy to your massage session.

Labor Doula Support Package

$250 (planned cesarean); $550-$1200 (laboring)

The Birth Doula Support Package starts with our initial contact.  I will want to know your anticipated due date to make sure I'm avaiIable during that time.  I will ask you where you live to make sure it is within my service area.   If you'd like to schedule an in-person interview meeting, I will then tentatively hold your due date and the space around it for you, and we will schedule our first in-person meeting. The Birth Doula support package includes:

  • One (1) complimentary in-person interview meeting at my office to determine if we are a good fit and will work well together.   This is a short meeting that lasts anywhere between 30-60 minutes.
  • This initial meeting will be followed up with an email from me attaching a draft contract for your review.  Due dates are held for prospective clients for 10 business days from the date of our initial meeting.
  • After receiving the signed contract and the fee payment, you will receive a welcome packet in the mail including (1) a blank intake form for doula services to be filled in and mailed back in the enclosed postage prepaid envelope; (2) a Birth Plan Checklist; (3) a Birth Bag Checklist; (4) a sample Birth Preference Form that can be discussed with and given to your care provider and taken with you to the birth to be given to attending medical staff; (5) a blank form to take to each of your appointments with your care provider for either you or your doctor to fill in with yours and the baby's vitals, which you and I will review together over the phone after each appointment; (6) a Postpartum Plan Checklist.
  • Two (2) in-person prenatal visits starting around the 34th week through around the 37th week.  These meetings can take place in either your home or my office.  Each of these meetings is 1-2 hours.  This is where we will continue to get to know each other better and become comfortable working as a team.  During these meetings, we simply talk birth.  The goal is that you and your partner will go through birth feeling confident and ready.  We'll figure out together what that means for you each individually and as a team.  We'll discuss birth options and your ideal vision.   We will practice massage techniques (self-massage and partner massage).  We will practice different laboring positions and review exercises to prepare your body for labor.  We will review and practice breathing techniques. We will address any fears or concerns you or your partner may have and discuss topics pertinent to your pregnancy.  We will talk about ways of managing those fears and concerns.  The goal is to fill your "toolbox" with different comfort items and strategies for you and your partner to utilize throughout your labor. We will discuss your plans for breast or bottle feeding.  We will discuss your fourth trimester, postpartum support plan and make sure "all the bases are covered."
    • Phone, email, text availability 24/7 for doula clients
    • I will want to hear from you after each of your doctor visits to see how you are progressing
    • Exclusive on-call availability from week 38 through birth (this will be sooner for multiples)
    • Attendance during active labor and birth
    • Attendance at cesarean birth if allowed by hospital policy
    • One (1) follow-up postpartum visit ideally within the first 3-5 days. At this visit, we will process the birth together, work on breastfeeding, discuss new baby care, and I will make sure you have all the resources you need to succeed as a new mom/family.
